  2. What happened? With route closures and budget cuts how is it possible for LTD to need more drivers. Did a bunch quite or get fired?

  5. Boy! It takes a real brave person to make nasty comments under the covert user name "Anonymous."

I happen to know several LTD bus drivers; and no, I'm not one of them. I agree with the ad, this can be one of the most "thankless, underpaid jobs," and it takes someone with real chutzpah, and a good dollop of compassion to deal with the many, many mentally & physically disabled not to mention heartrendingly homeless passengers who cannot get around any other way.

Let's not forget the elderly who are better off riding the bus then being a danger on our roads. Let's ALSO NOT forget our teenage children these LTD drivers ensure get to school and back home EVERY Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. Let's also add in the college crowd.

And who are you? A business owner with an axe to grind. One that's never stepped foot on a bus before. Perhaps drives around the latest Volvo model and has nothing better to do then target & fixate on someone, or something because you just aren't getting your pleasure anywhere else?

So, let's see, after 15 years on the LTD staff, a fulltime bus driver gets maybe $48,000 a year, and some decent benefits. I think that's about right. But Mr. YOU COULDN'T PAY ME TWICE THAT AMOUNT to put myself in a situation where I am oftentimes threatened by drug addicts and drunken fools - or to clean up someone else's sh*t, or to risk repercussions when asking someone to mind themselves, or worry about retaliation when you have to kick someone off the bus.

Shame on you. When you can come out IN THE OPEN and spout of your nonsensical bullsh*t, I might just give you some recognition for having a bit of spine.

  6. I see so many people driving on Beltline each day unaware of their surroundings, talking on their phones, yelling at their kids. Bobbing and weaving in traffic. Please for the love of Pete do not hire those people LTD.
